Pole for 24 hours Le Mans Winner at Asian Le Mans Series October 28, 2017 Asian Le Mans Series Round 1 at Zhuhai International Circuit With one of the strongest driver’s line-up on the grid, #8 Jackie Chan DC Racing grabbed pole position in Asian Le Mans Zhuhai Round. Thomas Laurent, who did the fastest time in the qualifying session, said that it was very nice to come back to this racing series. He started racing in Asian Le Mans Series in LMP3 with the team and now become the LMP2 winner of 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans. Regarding the race, Laurent said that #7 Jackie Chan DC Racing was also very competitive, that he and his teammates would just perform strong in the race, with no mistakes, and focus on the win. Teamed up with Laurent and Stephane Richelmi, LMP2 winner of 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans, is the prototype racing rookie Harrison Newey, son of Adrian Newey. This is his first time racing a LMP2 car, and he admitted that it’s a total different experience comparing to driving a F3 car. He also said the the two Le Mans LMP2 winner teammates “are excellent guys to learn from”.
