Former Formula One driver and legendary 6 times Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx talks to sportauto. How does he feel about winning, China, young race drivers and danger in motorsports? Ickx is one of the few drivers who survived the era before the 80’s, when one or two drivers died each year. Another significant difference is the change of diversity. Nowadays drivers focus to a single racing category but this was quite different then… Ickx even drove Paris-Dakar.
Topics include China, the Monaco historic grand-prix, the 1930’s Auto Union, Stirling Moss, classical drivers Von Brauchitsch, Rosemeyer, Caracciola, Jochen Rindt and his daughter Vanina.
